Structural Inspections
Mid-Atlantic Engineering specializes in structural safety inspections for in-service bridges, including structures of any type or complexity. We also provide a number of related services, including damage inspections for overload or impact damage, initial inspections for approval of new structures, and interim inspections for structures that require monitoring intervals in excess of those prescribed by the FHWA. In addition to bridge inspection services, we also inspect buildings, waterfront structures, and ancillary highway structures, such as overhead signs and high-mast light structures.
Inspector Qualifications
All of our inspectors are hold current National Highway Institute certifications, and have taken the NHI Safety Inspections of In-Service Bridges Course (NHI 130055), as well as the Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges (NHI 130078) and Inspection and Maintenance of Ancillary Highway Structures (NHI 130087).
